3G Phone Sales Declining

The world's number four mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson said on Thursday average selling prices (ASPs) of its phones would decline somewhat in the fourth quarter from 147 euros in the third quarter.
"We see some decline in ASPs after an exceptionally strong third quarter," President Miles Flint said in a conference call after the joint venture of Sweden's Ericsson and Japan's Sony Corp. published results on Wednesday.
Sony Ericsson beat expectations with third-quarter pretax earnings of 433 million euros ($543.4 million), twice as much as analysts had expected as it gained market share.
